Dr. Katie Xu is a dual-qualified Orthodontist and Dentist.
She obtained her general dentistry degree from the University of Melbourne graduating with first-class honors and receiving numerous scholarships and awards including the Cato Graduate Scholarship and the Des Crack Memorial Prize for the highest mark in Paediatric dentistry and Orthodontics.
Dr. Katie practiced as a general dentist for many years serving the wider Melbourne community before undertaking further study in the competitive 3-year Master’s Degree in the Doctor of Clinical Dentistry specializing in Orthodontics at the University of Melbourne. She has presented at numerous national orthodontic conferences and has research publications in the Australian Orthodontic Journal.
In your first visit, you will have a comprehensive assessment, set of photos and a 3D scan of your teeth. She will often provide 2-3 different options including comprehensive treatment and also express treatment for those with time limitations. You will have the opportunity to ask any questions you like. A comprehensive orthodontic report will be emailed to you within 2 weeks highlighting her findings, treatment plan, and relevant information.
